Since Wednesday, more than 600 pieces from the Museu do Caramulo can be seen online through Google Arts & Culture by people from all over the world due to a new partnership between Google and the museum.

Thanks to the new virtual exhibitions, users will be able to see the works of Picasso, Dalí, Miró, Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso, Vieira da Silva, among many other works that form part of the various art collections at the Museu do Caramulo, including those from Ancient Art, Modern and Contemporary Art and Graphic Arts, now available here.

On World Arts Day, Google Arts & Culture, in partnership with 35 cultural institutions, from more than 20 countries, such as the Museu do Caramulo, the Museu Nacional de Arqueologia, the Atassi Foundation in the United Arab Emirates, the Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Buenos Aires or Palazzo Monti in Italy, which contributed about 100 online exhibitions with more than 18 thousand works of art.

The ultra-high definition images allow a closer approximation, thanks to Gigapixel technology, a powerful photo capture process that enabled the image with the highest possible resolution of this feature. Users can explore it in extraordinary detail and experience it far beyond what is visible to the naked eye.
